Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the DC Tools Android application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

2. The Service

DC Tools is a native Android application that provides a collection of 200+ utilities (converters, generators, editors, calculators, and more). All tools process data locally on your device. We do not receive, store, or process your content.

2.1 Free Plan

The App is free to use with a daily limit of 10 tool uses per day (across all tools). The counter resets automatically each day at midnight. When available, completing a rewarded ad may grant one extra use.

2.2 Local Storage

The App stores your preferences, favorites, recent history, and the daily usage counter locally on your device. This data never leaves your device. Clearing the app data will reset these settings.

3. Accuracy and Safety

• No warranties on results: Tools are provided for convenience. Always double-check critical outputs (financial calculations, code, conversions).
• You are responsible for your use: Only process content you own or have the legal right to use. You are solely responsible for the output you generate or download.
• Not professional advice: Results from calculators or generators (e.g., financial, health, or legal tools) are informational only and are not professional advice.
• Device safety: We are not responsible for any consequences of using the tools, including data loss on your device. Keep backups of important files.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers the following optional paid plans, purchased through Google Play:

• Supporter (One-Time): a one-time purchase that supports the project and removes ads.
• Supporter Monthly: a recurring monthly plan that removes ads and unlocks premium app icons.
• Premium Monthly: a recurring subscription that unlocks unlimited daily usage, Split Screen, Appearance & Typography settings, and premium app icons. It does not remove ads.
• Premium Lifetime: a one-time payment with the same benefits as Premium Monthly, forever. It does not remove ads.

All payments are processed exclusively by Google Play under Google's Terms of Service. We do not process, store, or have access to your payment details. Subscription prices are shown in the App and may change; Google Play will notify you before any price change takes effect on renewal.

• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel them at any time in your Google Play account (or via the "Cancel Subscription" button in the App's Settings).
• Purchases are non-transferable between Google accounts.

5. Free Trial

Premium Monthly may include a 7-day free trial. The trial is available only once per user, as enforced by Google Play. If you have ever had an active Premium subscription before, you will not be offered another trial.

• During the trial you get full Premium benefits, which do not include ad removal.
• If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the regular subscription price through Google Play.
• You can cancel the trial at any time from your Google Play account — you won't be charged.
• The App indicates whether you are eligible for the trial on the purchase buttons.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play and follow Google Play's refund policy. In general:

• Google Play allows refunds for a limited time after purchase (typically 48 hours for subscriptions in the EU/UK/EEA and 15 minutes for in-app purchases — exact windows are set by Google).
• You can request a refund through Google Play (play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory).
• For issues beyond the standard window, contact us at support@deniscasian.com and we'll do our best to help.
• Refunds granted by Google automatically revoke the corresponding features in the App.

7. Restoring Purchases

All purchases are linked to your Google account. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use the "Restore Purchases" button in the App's Settings (or sign in with the same Google account) to get your plans back. If a purchase doesn't appear after restoring, contact support@deniscasian.com.

8. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree to:

• Use tools lawfully: Do not use the App for illegal purposes or to process illegal content.
• Respect intellectual property: Only process content you own or have rights to use. You are responsible for anything you download or generate.
• Not abuse the service: Do not attempt to circumvent the daily usage limit, hack, reverse-engineer, or exploit the App or its systems.
• Not interfere: Do not disrupt the App's operation or the Play Store experience for other users.
• Not automate excessively: Do not use bots or scripts to circumvent limits or strain resources.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Content

The App, including its design, code, branding, and tool implementations, is owned by Denis Casian. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or resell the App or its code without permission.

9.2 Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you process with the App. Since all processing happens on your device, we never have access to, ownership of, or rights to your content.

9.3 Output

Any output generated by the tools (converted images, formatted text, generated passwords, etc.) belongs entirely to you and may be used for any purpose, personal or commercial.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: the free plan includes Google AdMob ads. AdMob processes advertising data as explained in the Privacy Policy. Many tools process files locally.

11. Disclaimer and Liability

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of results.

• We do not guarantee that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce specific results.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
• We are not responsible for third-party service changes (for example, if an external platform changes and a tool stops working).
• Since your data stays on your device, we cannot be held responsible for data loss — keep backups of important files.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it. We reserve the right to restrict access to the App or its features at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. Terminating a subscription does not refund the current billing period (per Google Play policy).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted in the App or on the web version (tools.deniscasian.com), and the "Last updated" date is refreshed. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
